Christmas quiz time!!

I havent had time to blog recently (sad day :() I thought I would make some time to do a special Christmas quiz for everyone! Enjoy!



1. Eggnog or hot chocolate?
Hot chocolate for sure!! I have never tried eggnog, but to me it sounds like I would be drinking eggs, and I do not want to do that

2. Does Santa wrap presents or just set them under the tree?
He just sets it under the tree. he doesnt have time to wrap, thats what his slaves are for

3. Colored lights on tree/house or white?
WHITE lights!!

4. Do you hang mistletoe?
I havent, but I think I may start ;)

5. When do you put your decorations up?
Usually the day after Halloween. Im a freak when it comes to Christmas

6. What is your favorite holiday dish?
Love me some ham!!

7. Favorite holiday memory as a child?
The new Pjs I always got every year, and still do :)

8. When and how did you learn the truth about Santa?
As crazy as this is, I think I always knew there wasnt one. I never really had some dramatic life changing experience about finding out the truth

9. Do you open a gift on Christmas Eve?
used to when I was growing up, now...not so much

10. How do you decorate your Christmas tree?
I try to keep it simple, elegant and beautiful

11. Snow! Love it or dread it?
I love the snow, hate the ice!

12. Can you ice skate?
I actually have a phobia of skating of any kind, it terrifies me beyond belief

all of them :)

14. What’s the most important thing about the holidays for you?
I love seeing everyone get excited about the gift I get them!

pumpkin pie, is the only dessert that comes to mind

Not being able to sleep all night and waking up at 2 in the morning ready to open presents

I love giving, but lezby honest.....i do love to get some gifts too, gives me a chance to get things i cant normally buy myself

apparently "baby its cold outside" my bff just recently pointed out how it sounds like its a man trying to rape a woman...thats pretty sad shit!

Week 2 day 1 diet

Hello to everyone!!! Well today officially marks my 1 week of this diet I am dedicated to. :) I have lost 4 pounds, which isnt amazing, but I am sure happy about it, so dont rain on my parade! I didnt attach a pic of me last week so I will do that today, and attach a pic every month. I am determined to meet my first goal of losing 30 pounds, even if it kills me!!

Day 7 of Amber and Neelys Holiday Blog Challenge
The challenge is How do you celbrate!

I celebrate Chrismtas!! Its pretty much my favorite. My family will all get together CHristmas Eve and stay up somewhat late and wake up at 6 in the morning to open our Christmas stockings! My mom makes the BEST stockings!! We then will open all the gifts and be freakishly excited the entire time, all the while staying in our oh so comfy pjs ;)

After we unwrap everything, we of course have to clean up the mess, no fun but you gotta do it. While the lunch is cooking we are playing. Then family meal together. AND THENNNNNNNNNNNNNNN the whole next week you are in the best mood of your life! period!

Holiday Attire

Day #5 of Amber and Neelys Holiday Blog Challenge

For my Holiday attire, if im going casual, I simplify it as much as possible. Jeans, sweater and a cute scarf, obviously.

If im going to a more formal holiday event, I still try not to overdo it. I like to stick to the reds and the blacks. Im boring I know. I will wear a dress, something non revealing for the most part and partially to my knees :)

Diet Day 1

happy thursday :)Today begins Day 1 of my diet. I am hoping to lose....a shit ton of weight.

Todays menu is as follows:

Slim fast for breakfast
orange cream yogurt as a snack
Slim fast for Lunch
Apples and caramel dipping sauce for snack
Baked italian Chicken with carrots and broccoli.


A little hard core I know, but thats how I roll. I am determined and would appreciate any support I can get :)

Holiday Movie Time

Challenge: Fave Holiday movies/Tv Shows.


For this blog I took a lot into consideration. SO many movies and shows that pertain to the holidays. I was able to narrow it down to my top 2 :)

For the comedy...of course.....HOME ALONE. (OBVIOUSLY) This movie will be a classic until the day I die. Such a cute and fun family movie. One that will be watched over and over for years to come.

And for the sweet love, comedy, tear jerker.....THE HOLIDAY. Cameron Diaz is always someone that can make me laugh, and Jude Law...well hes beautiful. I cry everytime I watch this. It is such a sweet movie!!!

I am a Christmas FREAK. One year for my apartment, I literally put up my tree the day after Halloween (a little much I know) I love the Reds and the Silvers, I never usually do green, I think that is a little to cliche. I would put wrapping paper in a picture frame and hang it on the wall. I love lighting cinnamon and pine tree candles. And of course LIGHTS!!!

Christmas Eve and Stuffing

The challenge today is to write about your fave tradition, new or old :)

I always remember growing up how every Christmas eve all the kids would take part in making the stuffing for the next day. We each had our own roll :) From tearing apart the bread, cutting up the celery, bell pepper, onions and all that other good stuff. We would all sit around the dinner table and talk about memories from the past year.

Diet Time

Now, I know this is going to be a dumb time of the year to start, but it needs to happen.

Beginning December 2nd, I will be blogging about my diet, weight loss and keep track of the food I'm eating, including pics. I will post pics of myself and the food and recipes in case someone wants to try it out. I am determined to be back to my old self before I had my baby. So follow along and enjoy.

Fave gift received for Christmas

Hello all :) I am linking up to Amber and Neelys Holiday Blog Challenge :) Day 1, Favorite gift received for Christmas....


I would have to say, my most favorite gift I ever got was an acoustic guitar that my parents bought me last year. It was so freakin sweet. The year before that I had a new years goal of teaching myself how to play the guitar, a month later I found out I was pregnant. Of course, my finances changed and I couldnt just go out and buy one for myself. I was really wanting to learn to play so I can write music. My parents, being the sweet people that they are, went out and bought me that guitar. I cried, and that is a Christmas I will never forget :)

Thanksgiving Recap

Happy belated Thanksgiving!

So my Baby Liv went to her daddys for Thanksgiving this year. I figured since we werent really going to have a Thanksgiving, then she should go to her dads. I missed her like crazy but I still had a wonderful day. I spent the day with my wonderful second family. Amber, Casey, Gram Gram and Pop Pop. The food was freakishly good even though poor Gram Gram started cussing up a storm because the gravy wouldnt thicken up and Amber messed it up by pouring corn starch in it. Thats when the alcohol came out :) The night was filled with drinks, food and laughter.

A new beginning

I officially am going to be a blogger. My best friend, Amber, always looks like she is having so much fun and its a good way to get out there so here we go. To those of you who don't know me, I am Jillian :) I have a beautiful 1 year old daughter named Olivia. She isnt quite walking yet but is sure getting close.

For the time being we are staying with my friend Amber until we get a place in january...super excited!!
I work full time as a receptionist and am going to school to get my psychology degree, as well as being a full time mommy. Life isnt always easy, its pretty busy for the most part but I wouldnt change it for the world!
